Abstract

This thesis is divided into theoretical and experimental part. In the theoretical part there was made literature research, that was performed on the deoxidation and alloying of steel. The experimental part contains the results of statistical analysis of the influence of oxygen activity before tapping steel from the EAF, the influence of steel temperature and the effect of carbon content in the batch on the efficiency of desoxidation and alloying additive. There was also performed statistical monitoring of the dependence of oxygen activity after deoxidation on aluminum, silicon, manganese and chromium efficacy of usage. There were also proposed operational measures to streamline the process of deoxidation and alloying of steel in EAF of VÍTKOVICE HEAVY MACHINERY a.s.
