Vývoj metody pro průkaz a stanovení kofeinu, nikotinu a jejich metabolitů metodou LC-MS/MS

Abstract

The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis describes a brief characteristics of wastewater, substances which are present in wastewater and methods of their removal. More attention is focused on addictive substances, specifically caffeine, nicotine and their metabolites. The problematics of these substances in water and waste management is described. For each substance, its metabolism and emerging products, which are excreted in wastewater and surface water are listed. The instruments and methods used for their trace analysis are also described. The experimental part of the thesis deals with activities defined by the aim of the thesis, i.e. the development and validation methods for a qualitative evaluation and eventually a quantitative detection of caffeine, nicotine and selected metabolites (theophylline, paraxanthine, theobromine and cotinine) in water and aqueous extracts by high performance liquid chromatography in conjunction with mass spectrometry.
