Laboratorní úloha na měření bilirubinmetrie

Abstract

This bachelor work is based on one of several methods to measure the concetration of bilirubin in human blood. In the beginning of the work there is a discription of the bilirubin metabolism, theoretical details of photometry and the discription of all possible methods for billirubin measurement (both invasive and noninvasive). The goal of this work was to use noninvasive measuement, therefore for the actual method of measurement was chosen the reflex photometry method using optoelectronics. The method is based on measuring on patient's finger using two wave lengths (455 and 575 nm). By subtracting measured voltages (one resembles bilirubin, the other oxyhemoglobin) we can get the concentration of bilirubin. this method is simple and easily done, but not very precise, therefore it is used only for quick rough estimation. The main part of this work consists of creating the design, building the measuring device with optoelectronis. Final part is the actual measurement on the built device and comparing the results with result from similar measurement using commercial measuring device.
