Abstract

The diploma thesis evaluates the development and state of waste management in the city of Krnov for the period 2010-2020 and at the same time examines the approach, willingness and activity of citizens to the set waste management of the city of Krnov, which has an impact on the environment in the city. It compares the trend of waste production from quantitative horizontal data using linear forecast, average and standard deviation. The research of citizens' satisfaction and perception of this issue is carried out here using a saving questionnaire, which was distributed online. In the city of Krnov, on average, more waste is produced per capita than in the regional and national average. Citizens are not only open and active in the field of waste management, but also perceive them as a tool for the protection and quality of the environment in the city. A positive attitude of citizens to the use of the waste management system is also expected to have a positive impact on the environment.
