Abstract
This bachelor thesis is focused on usage of optical-fibered distributed systems for monitoring cracks on bridge constructions. DTS system using simulated Raman scattering, which can read just temperature along optical fiber was used as temperature sensor. It’s the reason why the main part of thesis is focused on finding out impact of strain on temperature in optical fiber. This impact was experimentally tested on the ripper FP 10/1 and then on the probationary pressing machine EU 40 at the construction materials lab of Faculty of Civil Engineering. All measured values and their graphical representation is part of this bachelor thesis.
