Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the design of 22 kV substation protection in the industrial plant. Main task of the thesis was to solve the protection parameters of the feeder protections REF 620, which were installed in the substation M6 after modernization. Thesis is devided into two parts: - theoretical and practical. Theoretical part deals with the short-circuit calculations according to a norm ČSN EN 60909, theory of feeder protections and general protection in the electrical circuit. Special chapter is dedicated for feeder protection REF 620 where the functions which were used in the theis are mentioned. In the practical part the industrial plant and modernizated substation M6 is described. In this part the maximal and minimal short-circuit currents of substation M6 are calculated. Subsequently, the calculations of the set parameters for feeder protection are given. For the set parametrs, the accuracy of the solution is calculated, which is reflected into the final parameters setting.
