Abstract
This thesis deals with the design and development of the control module of the automotive gateway. The control module realizes the communication of the automotive gateway with the physical layer of the bus and enables the transfer of the messages between different CAN buses. According to the set parameters from the configuration module of the automotive gateway, the control module also performs filtering of the CAN messages or their modification. The first part of the thesis deals with the automotive gateway, CAN bus, and SPI interface theory to successfully design and develop the control module of the automotive gateway. The second part of the thesis deals with the design of the system as a whole, including the design of the HW and SW. The part also consists of the description of the SW implementation of individual submodules of the control module of the automotive gateway. At the end of the thesis, the validation of the control module of the automotive gateway was performed using a logic analyser.
