Abstract

This bachelor thesis is focused on waste water treatment, especially waste water from industrial production. The introduction of this thesis is devoted to the characteristics of municipal and industrial waters. Further, there is mentioned the valid legislation of the Czech Republic and the European Union relating to the operation of sewage treatment plants. Part of this work is also a characterization of technological processes and chemical substances used in wastewater treatment plants. Another part of the thesis is focused on the operation of the neutralization station of GURTA, s. r. o., which deals with waste water treatment from industrial production. In conclusion, based on laboratory measurements, our own proposal is made to reduce the concentration of harmful substances contained in water discharged into the sewer by the installation of a cation filter.
