This bachelor’s thesis deals with the biometric identification of individuals based on the
classification of electrocardiographic signals. The main focus of this thesis is to test the impact
of artificial intelligence on biometric identification by utilizing input data in the form of ECG
signals in two representations: binary images and short-time Fourier transforms. The first
section presents the fundamental issues in the fields of electrocardiography, biometric
identification, and selected artificial intelligence tools. The final section of this thesis provides
a summary of the tests conducted and an evaluation of the results.
