Odbourávání mikropolutantů z vody v hydroponickém systému

Abstract

This bachelor thesis is focused on degradation of micropollutants from the hydroponic system using duckweed (Lemna minor). The theoretical part introduces us to overall information about Lemna minor, micropollutants used for analysis, analytical methods and needed equipment. Drug and pesticides degradation was carried out in multiple experiments, while the degradation of mixture of the three drugs and the degradation of metazachlor were monitored separately. Duckweeds from various habitats were used for the analysis to see if the origin of the plant has an effect on drug degradation. Furthermore, different variations of the experiment were carried out, where it was investigated whether light intensity has an effect on degradation, or an experiment with Bacillus Subtilis. At the end of the experiment, a test was carried out for the presence of chlorophyll in the plants in order to find out if the drugs and the origin of the duckweed itself have an effect on the chlorophyll value in the leaves. The practical part of the thesis consists of the results of analysis and their evaluation. It was found that the best degradable micropollutant is paracetamol, the worst is metazachlor. The most effective type of duckweed is the pond duckweed, in contrast, the duckweed grown in laboratory conditions has the lowest level of degradation.
