Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the exploration galleries, which are known as the line underground constructions serving to geological – engineering researches. The main aim is to find out about their positives and negatives. It analyses their functions, strenghts and weaknesses and also refers to the constructions where the exploration gallerries are commonly used. In practical part, the optimal profile for exploration gallery is designed and the selected mechanization is taken into consideration too. The calculations were also made. Thanks to the comparison of the various options it is now clear that the right choice of the shape and also the right choice of the location of the exploration gallery could certainly help to make the mining process much more effective. The precise observance of those methods leads to positive results and effective piece of work so that the exploration gallery makes the maximum usage of itself.
