Postavení a úlohy GIS v rámci informačních systémů na Severočeských Dolech

Abstract

The position and tasks of Geographic Information System (GIS) in the frame of information systems of the Severočeské doly mining company is the main topic of the bachelor thesis. The overall characteristic of information systems in the Severočeské doly is described at first. Further, I deal with the general presentation of GIS, possibilities of its usage, the history and the present of GIS in the Severočeské doly. Third part of the thesis is engaged in applications of the GIS. Relations to other IS’s and data sources is written about in the following part. At last, I considered about possibilities how to simplify the GIS from user’s point of view.
