Abstract

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze the effects of surface and groundwater on the stability of railway infrastructure. The thesis is devoted to a brief description of railway bodies and the method of foundation. It focuses on real cases of damage to the track due to surface and groundwater. In the practical part, hydrogeological well logs and laboratory results of water samples were used to assess the effects in the area of interest. In conclusion, the thesis deals with the evaluation of the obtained data and recommendations for increasing stability and safety.
