This thesis deals with determining the speed of heat release of selected flammable liquids. The thesis is divided into two parts: the theoretical part and the experimental part. The theoretical part of the thesis is centered around the research of scientific literature, describing the manner of heat release and describing the individual methods for determining the speed of heat release. Furthermore, the theoretical part also describes and characterizes selected flammable liquids which were subsequently used for experimental measurements. The experimental part of the thesis describes the theoretical calculation of heat release speed. Based on the performed calculations, experimental measurements were carried out on the samples of selected flammable liquids with changing heat flows. The conclusion of the thesis describes the results of the measurements while taking into account the effect of changing heat flow on the heat release speed and the results were compared with the values obtained from the calculations.
