Abstract

Diploma thesis verified versatile and relatively inexpensive procedure for stabilization of hazardous waste arising from municipal waste incineration. This process is the solidification of fly ash and end-product with cement matrix. The resulting pasty mixture is left to solidify and subsequently leach tests were performed. To compare the results obtained samples were measured after 48 hours of hydration and after 30 days hydration. Extracts prepared stabilized waste solids for optimal composition exhibit alkaline pH and also satisfactory conductivity. The contents of all monitored pollutants in aqueous extracts prepared test specimens conform to the applicable limits II. class leaching according to legislation of the Czech Republic. The results confirm the practicability of the use of cement binder to stabilize hazardous waste. It turns out that this is due to cement available and affordable.
