Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of black coal, the development of the price of coal and subsequently its estimation of the price in the future. The theoretical part briefly presents Resorbent Ltd. which provided me information on the issue. The thesis defines the basic information on the character, origin and classification of coal according to his type and use. In addition, this section reports on the amount of coal reserves and resources in Europe, describes the situation not only on the European but also on the global market. The practical part deals with the estimation of price development depending on the operating factors. It deals with the influence of substitutes such as natural gas and oil on the price of black coal. At the end of this thesis, the forecasts are compared, from which the best development option is estimated together with the price. The information of the future development of hard coal is also used to make recommendations for company Resorbent Ltd.
