Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the theory of Fiber Bragg gratings, optical fibers, optical transmission systems and deals with the issue of chromatic dispersion.
In the practical part, transmission routes with different light source parameters, with different lengths of optical fibers and with different transmission speed were simulated. Furthermore, for the different optical transmission path configurations, the Fiber Bragg Gratings were designed to compensate for the effect of the chromatic dispersion. The Fiber Bragg Gratings were modeled in OptiGrating software and subsequently used in the OptiSystem simulation environment where their functionality was verified.
