Digitální transformace ve zdravotnictví

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with a comparative analysis of the digitalization of healthcare systems in the Czech Republic and Austria between 2018 and 2024. The primary objective is to identify differences and similarities in the implementation of key eHealth areas, such as electronic health records, telemonitoring, and electronic prescription systems. The thesis also includes an evaluation of allocated public expenditures for digitalization initiatives in both countries. The research is based on theoretical concepts of healthcare systems and digitalization in the public sector. Methodologically, the work is founded on a comparative analysis using a scoring evaluation of implementation tools and a qualitative interpretation of legislative and institutional frameworks. The synthesis of the collected data enabled the formulation of recommendations for increasing the efficiency of digitalization processes in both systems. The results indicate a higher degree of digital maturity in Austria, particularly in EHR integration and the use of telemedicine tools. The thesis contributes to the understanding of strategic approaches to healthcare digitalization in the European context and stimulates discussion on the possibilities for optimizing these processes in the Czech environment.
