Obecní samospráva na příkladu měst Kunovice a Staré Město

Abstract

The thesis deals with local government on the example of Kunovice and Staré Město municipalities. In past they used to be a part of neighboring town of Uherské Hradiště. Nowadays there are three separate administrative units but there still exist interdependence and consistency between them. They together carry the typical characteristics of agglomeration. The thesis is mainly focused on economic and organizational perspective, and reflects the urban, sociological, law and political perspectives as well. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the actions of municipalities Kunovice and Staré Město and suggest proposals to optimize their activity. The methods of literature search and related legislation, analysis, comparison and forecast were used to fulfill the aim. Based on the established facts has been proposed several recommendations aimed at local government higher efficiency.
