Abstract
The first part the of thesis deals with mathematical background of numerical analysis of slabs on foundation using finite element method. A program for calculation of displacements and internal forces of slabs on foundation using isoparametric elements was created. The program is capable of automatic generation of regular rectangular meshes. The second part of the thesis introduces some basic methods and principles for parallel processing of structural mechanics problems. The program was upgraded with capability of decomposing the mesh using Schur complements method. The algoritm is prepared for parallelisation and the efficiency was compared on numerical examples. The nonlinear nature of the analysis of slabs on foundation was also considered.
