Abstract

The present thesis is the theoretical part to contribute to the knowledge of the materials used in nuclear power, characterize their properties, factors affecting their life, the materials used for the basic components in nuclear power. There are also briefly described a method for determining defects in the materials and the types of mechanical tests. The experimental part of the work was aimed at determining the basic mechanical properties of selected products for use in nuclear power. To evaluate the basic mechanical properties were used tensile test and impact test, measuring the hardness of Rockwell and Vickers.
