Abstract

The thesis deals with fire safety on construction sites. It summarizes the approach to fire safety in different countries and also their legislative framework related to this topic. The thesis shows final statistical data of the number of fires on construction sites and at buildings published in The Yearbook of Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic and the database of a particular building company in the ten years 2009–2018. The criteria of acceptance of fire risks on construction sites and at buildings and their practical implementation in real cases present input parameters for analysis methods and dominant risk findings in the thesis. Based on the obtained information, methodical procedures for fire risk identification are designed, including their impact on the cost of guaranteed and ensured fire prevention measures on construction sites and at buildings.
