Abstract

Ing. arch Zbysek Styblo The subject of this diploma thesis is the conceptual design of the locality and buildings within the historic fishpond area. The main objective is to create a new vision for the entire site that preserves its authenticity while offering new functional and meaningful uses. The project is developed at the level of an urban study, with a specific architectural design of the proposed building, taking into account technical and structural requirements. The municipality of Klastor pod Znievom is a place with a long history reflecting the development of Slovakia; of particular importance is the historic fishpond area, which was the first facility in Slovakia established for fish distribution . The study places strong emphasis on the operational functionality of the entire area, on integrating new development with the historical and landscape context, and on the quality of public space.
