Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Civil Engineering,
Department of Architecture 226. Thesis Supervisor: doc. Ing. arch.

The subject of this diploma thesis is the conceptual design of the
locality and buildings within the historic fishpond area.
The main objective is to create a new vision for the entire site that
preserves its authenticity while offering new functional and
meaningful uses. The project is developed at the level of an urban
study, with a specific architectural design of the proposed building,
taking into account technical and structural requirements. The
municipality of Klastor pod Znievom is a place with a long history
reflecting the development of Slovakia; of particular importance is
the historic fishpond area, which was the first facility in Slovakia
established for fish distribution
.
The study places strong emphasis on the operational functionality of
the entire area, on integrating new development with the historical
and landscape context, and on the quality of public space.
