Abstract

There is no doubt that the importance of electronic communication has been constantly rising in these days. More and more information is primarily acquired and handled in an electronic form rather than in a paper one. The digital signature is a kind of technology that should secure a quicker, better, cheaper, and/or in general a more simple way of communication. The digital signature can be created using a digital certificate that is issued by an accredited certification provider such as Česká pošta, s.p. The thesis is focused on an analysis of services provided by the Czech post certification provider. The goal is to analyse the current state and to design such a business model which will be more competitive, will make the services more available for clients, and will be cost-effective for the company.
