Abstract

VALTA, M. : " Safety studies on electrical equipment in power branch": dissertation, Ostrava: VŠB-TU, 2009, 203 pages including attachments. The dissertation deals with the study of safety in terms of risk prevention, using the theoretical foundations of science and the design methodology able to quantify the level of risk based on the dangers associated with the work environment, the installed technology and the human factor. The resulting data obtained from the proposed method of quantifying the level of risk are useful, for example, to control access to restricted areas on the basis of the professional qualifications, training, experience and other information necessary to control the level of risk in specific areas.
