Abstract
VAVREČKA, Petr. Influence of selected protective equipment for sport shooting
on selected acoustic parameters. Diploma thesis. Ostrava, 2024. 152 p. VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Security Engineering, Department of Security Services. Supervisor of diploma thesis Ing. Pavel Raška, Ph.D.
The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of the influence of selected protective equipment for sport shooting on selected acoustic parameters of hearing protection during sport shooting.
The theoretical part of the work focused on the issue of acoustics, the human auditory system and the risks associated with excessive noise was elaborated. In addition, attention
is paid to methods of protection against excessive noise with an emphasis on sport shooting and other protective equipment means used in it.
In the practical part, suitable protective equipment was chosen to be used at the same time as hearing protectors during sport shooting (glasses with different side widths, headgear). For these devices, a method of testing the influence of the attenuation of hearing protectors during their simultaneous use was proposed. Model measurements in the laboratory and verification experiments with an expansion weapon were carried out according to the proposed procedure. In the conducted experiments, the loss of attenuation of hearing protectors due
to their use with another type of protective device was evaluated.
