Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and implementation of a system of interactive computer games that respond in real time to the player's physiological state measured via electrodermal activity (EDA). The thesis describes the theoretical foundations of biofeedback, the physiology of the EDA signal, and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, which enables wireless transmission of measured data from the sensor to the game application. Based on this knowledge, a system consisting of three main components was designed and implemented: a hardware EDA sensor, a web application handling signal reception and processing, and the Phaser 3 game framework. The system includes a two-phase calibration procedure, data normalization using range correction, and signal analysis using a sliding window technique. Four games of various genres were implemented, in which the normalized EDA value directly influences game parameters, creating a biofeedback loop between the player's physiological state and the game environment. The resulting system was verified through functional testing and user testing with six participants, who rated the intuitiveness of the controls and the perception of biofeedback positively.
