Abstract

This paper describes the design of digital filters that are designed for use in audio loudspeakers systems. DSP was used for digital signal processing which was the part of a development kit. Filters were designed for two kits, NI Speedy - 33 and EVAL AD1940AZ. NI Speedy - 33 is programmable through a graphical development environment LabVIEW, that has universal use. The main block, which was used in the thesis, is the biquadratic filter. It realizes the only transfer function available in LabVIEW DSP Module. Bilinear transformation was used for the design of biquadratic transmission coefficients and employed Butteworth approximation as a pattern. Real FFT is another used block that uses a frequency spectrum for filtration. The function ABL was implemented on the kit NI Speedy – 33 that uses ISO 226. Kit EVAL AD1940AZ, which is also programmable through graphical development environment, is designed exclusively for digital audio signal processing. The individual courses of measured kits are compared with each other and these results suggest their advantages and applicability.
