Vodní květy sinic a problémy spojené s jejich výskytem v nádrži Žermanice

Abstract

This thesis deals with cyanobacterial blooms – one of the most widespread problems nowadays, which affects aquatic ecosystems. Concretely, this thesis focuses on research a possible connection between the development of cyanobacteria in the environment of the reservoir Žermanice and the development of cyanobacteria in the environment of its pre-reservoir. The first part of this thesis deals with the eutrophication of waters. A subject of the next chapters is a general characteristic of cyanobacteria, the issue of cyanobacterial blooms and methods for control of the cyanobacterial blooms development in the environment of the aquatic ecosystems. The following part of the study deals with characteristic of the dam Žermanice and problems, which are related to the presence of cyanobacterial blooms in the environment of this reservoir. The final part contains the results of analyses of phytoplankton of the reservoir Žermanice and its pre-reservoir, which I have done from April to October 2009.
