Abstract
The main goal of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate a compliance with Council Directive 91/271/EEC in the municipalities of Moravian-Silesian region with population equivalent of more than 2000 inhabitants. The introduction part of this thesis presents the legislation, concerning the protection of waters. The conception of agglomeration, which is for the Council Directive 91/271/EEC crucial, is explained in more detail. The conclusion part of the thesis focuses on the evaluation of the development in the field of waste water cleaning in the Czech Republic and also the current status of sewerage in the municipalities of Moravian-Silesian region with more than 2000 inhabitants.
