Abstract
The thesis deals with the topic of magnesium and its alloys. It characterizes pure magnesium's mechanical properties as well as physical ones. It deals with labelling and dividing of its alloys. It concerns their application in various fields and a possibility of hardening of magnesium alloys. It also mentions the world production of pure magnesium.
