Abstract

The Bachelor thesis in theory defines Self-government and explains the term of Professional Self-Government, including its status in the political system and law embodiment. The Bachelor thesis deals with division chambers in profession with compulsory membership, chambers with not-compulsory membership and university autonomy, including their competence and general characteristics. The Bachelor thesis characterizes the Czech Medical Chamber as autonomous non-political professional organization unifying all doctors registered on the list controlled by the chamber. Further it deals with historical development of the chamber, organizational structure and the membership conditions of this chamber. Finally, the Thesis describes the territorial and the ministerial (administrative) organization of the chamber both from the point of view of the centre of the Czech Medical Chamber, and its basic local units – District Association of the Czech Medical Chamber in Frýdek-Místek.
