Možnosti monitoringu havarijního úniku toxické látky do vodoteče s využitím přístroje Toximeter

Abstract

The goal of this thesis is identification of priority contaminants, which have the potential to cause natural accidents in the waters of Moravian-Silesian region. Experiments are implemented by examining collected samples using Daphina Toximeter. This device is used to evaluate toxicity of the substances using complex automated sample scanning of Daphnias and analyzing their reactions to the contaminants contained in the water. In addition evaluation of the threat of the substances they represent to aquatic organisms was performed. Another objective was mastering the Toximeter device operation in order to evaluate its potential to be used for early warnings against water disasters.
