Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with examining the possibility of reducing the impact on the environment within a company engaged in the manufacture of metal reinforcement and semi-finished products , including its implementation. The company name is Catterpilar Global Mining Czech Republic, a.s. The aim of this thesis was to become familiar with the company's current precautionary approach to the environment, the management system and to propose measures to reduce the possible impact on the environment. In the first part are theoretically discussed various preventive approaches, both generally and directly introduced in the company and the relevant applicable legislation relating to the environment. The second part is devoted to a closer acquaintance with the company , its technology , and system management. The next section deals with proposal measures to reduce the company's impact on the environment and its application in practice. The conclusion focuses on the benefits of this issues, including entry into practice with expected benefits for both the company and the environment.
