Mediální obraz brownfildů v Ostravsko-karvinské aglomeraci

Abstract

The media image of brownfields in Ostrava-Karviná agglomeration This thesis describes the issue of brownfields in the Czech Republic, especially in economic terms. This knowledge is then applied to the research of media messages and through figuring out how to print information about regional issues and brownfield projects of their recovery. The first chapter of The Economics of Brownfield sums up the issue of restoration of these areas in the Czech Republic. It contains not only the concept of brownfield sites and history, but also factors that affect investors' willingness to revitalize brownfields. The second chapter Selected brownfields in Ostrava-Karviná agglomeration also describes the used or unused brownfields in this area. The chapter is therefore to find examples of agricultural, mining, industrial and other types of brownfields. The last chapter Media presentations of selected brownfields is the practical part, and analyzed through quantitative content analysis and qualitative semiotic analysis of messages concerning the issue of brownfields projects, and their recovery in the periodical press. Specifically, follows the frequency and content of information on brownfields in Karvinský, Havířovský and Moravskoslezský deník in the period 2007-2010. Through my thesis is to understand the issues of brownfields, including practical examples and insight on how brownfields display media.
