Ekologicko-faunistická charakteristika měkkýšů (Mollusca) vrchu Jahodná u Třince

Abstract

This thesis deals with a research of the mollusc assemblages in post-industrial habitats. Jahodná hill near Třinec was chosen as a model area. Jahodná is well-known as an area where the so-called Těšín limestones occur, and is also a significant botanical area (presence of Orchidaceae). In the past, the limestone and lean sideritical iron ores were mined there and the landscape was used for agricultural purpose and purpose of forestry. Bioindication of terrestrial gastropods and main ecological factors which influence the composition of the mollusc assemblages are mentioned in this thesis. Furthermore, the importance of the post-industrial areas as habitats for terrestrial gastropods and the characteristics of studied territory are introduced. In total 39 species of molluscs (38 terrestrial gastropod species and 1 bivalve) of 1811 found living specimens were discovered by malacozoological researching. The discovery of the calcareous gastropod surviving in these habitats Discus perspectivus was momentous.
