Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the design and implementation of a device for measuring power consumption using LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) technology for data transmission. The theoretical part of the thesis briefly describes the characteristics of the LoRaWAN technology, an overview of possible microcontrollers and LoRaWAN modules applicable to the device production, a description of the methods of power consumption measurement and a research of similar commercial devices on the market. The practical part focuses on the design and assembly of the metering device, functional programming, and operation of the communication between the device and the server via LoRaWAN, operation of the database and display of the current power consumption in a graphical environment. The result of this work is a functional device measuring electricity consumption with the support of LoRaWAN technology for data transmission and data displayable in a graphical environment.
