Analýza přímých zahraničních investic

Abstract

The aim of my diploma thesis is to analyze foreign direct investments. My thesis defines foreign direct investments (also FDI) and describes the main reasons, advantages and disadvantages of FDI and also focuses on describing investments support in global scale and ind the Czech republic. One of the main topic is analyzing decision-making investing of FDI, once from point of view of controlling company, once from point of view of subsidiary company-Roper engineering. The first chapter consist of FDI describing and their evaluation. It describes definitions, main legal enactments and evaluation. Then it describes main reasons and types of FDI and their advantages and disadvantages. The second issue is focused on FDI development in the Czech republic. Very important role has the CzechInvest company, which helps foreign stakeholders to join czech business. Third chapter analyzes decision-making investing of company Roper Industries, Inc. once from point of wiew of controlling company, once from point of wiew of subsidiary company. As a background of analysing was Czech national, Roper Industries, Inc. and Roper engineering s.r.o. business environment introduced. The analysis was made on comparing economic indicators and net present value of each company. From that business environment analysis due to a economic indicators and based on net present value we can recommend implementation of objective project. Our project is foreign direct investment, which can be described as contribution to Roper Industries, Inc., because it enhance company´s value and helps the company with next development.
