Abstract
The presented thesis deals with the issue of health risk assessment in health care workers with a focus on musculoskeletal disorders. The theoretical part focuses on the issue of health risk assessment in relation to the categorization of work. Attention is paid to occupational diseases, in particular the extension of the list of occupational diseases to include lumbar spine diseases. In the practical part of the thesis, the classification of work into categories is carried out on the basis of the results of protocols of authorized measurement of risk factors in accordance with the current legislation. The last part of the thesis includes a research investigation using the Nordic questionnaire, which aims to find out which parts of the body are most overloaded in healthcare workers. The results of the questionnaire survey showed that the lower back, hands and wrists are the problem areas for healthcare workers when overloading. Based on the results of the survey, measures are proposed to reduce the risk of overloading the musculoskeletal system.
