The master thesis deals with the design of the recreational and cultural center of the Veselsko region in the southeast of Moravia. The project respects the specific character of the site, consisting mainly of the Baťa Canal with the harbor, the Classicist castle and the chateau park in Veselí nad Moravou. The main idea is to bring new life into this historic part of the city, through tourism and culture. The new center resolves with the Baťa canal with the harbor, park and palace. The concept of new objects of the recreation center is based on the traditions of the region, which is part of the ethnographic region of Slovácko and it‘s inspired by its folk architecture.;
