Abstract

This bachelor thesis describes the individual professional practice of a student at Taurid Ostrava s.r.o., a company specializing in the design and implementation of electrical systems and automation. The core of the thesis is an independent project focused on converting an industrial machine from hydraulic to electric drive. The student prepared a risk analysis proposal, calculations for cabinet cooling and fuse selectivity, and designed power and control circuits using EPLAN software, including implementation of the SIMATIC ET 200SP PLC and frequency converters. The work highlights the differences between academic theory and real-world engineering practice. The conclusion evaluates the internship’s contribution to the student’s professional development.
