Abstract

This master thesis deals with subsidies from the European Union for entrepreneurs. The aim of the thesis is to apprise the reader with the topic of the subsidies provided by the European Union, with the requirements of the administrative process related to the drawing of subsidies from the European structural and investment funds and formulating a project application based on a concrete firm example. The final aim of this thesis is to make an overall conclusion of the administrative process. The introduction chapter is dedicated to map the basic concepts and types of business subventions. Subsequently there is characterized the EU regional policy and the legislation of the public subventions. Further the EU structural and investment funds and the Programming period 2014-2020 are specified. In more detail is described the most important support program for the entrepreneurs, the Operational Program Enterprise and Innovation for Competitiveness (OP PIK), from which the submitted project will be financed. The content of the third chapter is based on the administrative process related to the drawing of subsidies. The project cycle is composed of individual steps, which the applicant must overcome in order to obtain a subsidy. A part of the chapter are the most common mistakes made by the applicants during the elaboration of the project and a mention about consulting companies. The practical, final chapter consists of the most important parts of the elaborated project within OP PIK - Technology, which is entirely part of the attachments of the master thesis. Concluding the final chapter are revealed the project evaluation results and the administrative process is reviewed.
