3D reprezentace historického stavu vybraných budov Starého náměstí v Orlové

Abstract

This Bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of 3D modelling and the creation and publication of 3D scenes within a historical context. The main reason for choosing this topic was an idea to present an area in its historical state. The theoretical part describes the theory of 3D modelling and 3D scene creation and publication. The topics range from geometric representation, levels of detail, and modeling methods to textures and data formats. This part also includes an overview of modelling data sources and modelling software. The second part of the theory is about 3D scene creation and publishing. The practical part follows the workflow of the project. The selected location is Old Square in Orlová. Specifically the project focuses on modelling of the four selected buildings on the square in their historical state between the years 1928-1938. Sources of data come from ČÚZK(Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre), specifically ZTM(Basic Topographic Map) and orthophotos, combined with historical photographs from books and archives. Software used was SketchUp for modelling with the Match Photo tool, and ArcGIS Pro with ArcGIS Scene Viewer for the creation and publication of the 3D scene. The buildings were modelled separately and then imported into ArcGIS Pro in KMZ format. ArcGIS Pro was used to create the scene containing the models with an orthophoto image as the base layer. The finished scene was published into ArcGIS Online, where the scene was shared within the VŠB-TUO organization and can be viewed through ArcGIS Scene Viewer. The result is a successful creation and publication of the 3D scene that fulfills the requirements and goals of the thesis as a functional method for visualizing the historical state of an area.
