Měření útlumových parametrů optického coupleru po namáhání teplem

Abstract

The bachelor thesis studies a passive optical splitter or optical coupler. The Main goal is to determine the effect of heat on attenuation parameters of coupler, including theoretical analysis of this device. The theoretical part will mention basic information related to the light, optical fibers, passive optical networks and issue of coupler itself. The practical part deals with the measurement of the impact of heat on attenuation parameters of the coupler. The essential parameters of the measurement are insertion losses, homogeneity of the losses, total losses, split ratios, and and directionalities. The work is based on the assumption of an increase loss and its subsequent decline due to relaxation of the material. It is a prime view of this the problem.
