Vliv polymerového modifikátoru v kalícím prostředí na mikrostrukturu a vlastnosti borové oceli 27MnCrB5

Abstract

The thesis focuses on deepening knowledge in the field of boron-alloyed steels. The aim of the work is to verify the influence of model quenching environments with a graded cooling rate, including controlling the composition of the quenching bath by a polymer modifier. To compare the results from different quenching environments, standard water quenching was used followed by three other quenching baths with different polymer modifier compositions. Through a series of follow-up processes including hardness testing and microstructure analysis of the hardened steel, the effort was to find out, or propose an optimal hardening process that could be adopted by the industry to increase the performance and service life of steel components.
