Aplikace EBSD v materiálovém inženýrství

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the method of Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) in scanning electron microscopy. The theoretical section describes the fundamental principles of EBSD, the signals generated by the primary electron beam, basics of the evaluation of EBSD diffraction patterns and the presentation of EBSD results. The most important EBSD applications in materials engineering are reviewed. The experimental section focuses on comparing grain size measurements obtained by optical microscopy and EBSD, followed by study cases of preferred orientation analysis of grains in GOES and phase analysis of precipitation in a weld joint.
