Abstract
This bachelor thesis is dealing with the topic of investments in the second- and third-class roads in the Olomouc Region between 2005 and 2015. The bachelor thesis is based on the evaluation of these investments, where the investments in this type of roads in the Olomouc Region are analyzed from the point of view of the whole period from 2005 to 2015, individual years of this period, the territorial division of the Olomouc Region (districts of the Olomouc Region) and also the sources of these investments financing. There are described basic terms or more precisely the terminology related to the bachelor topic and other necessary information related to the evaluation of investments given above as e.g. transport, investments, road infrastructure, the role of public administration in the Czech Republic concerning road infrastructure administration, information about the Olomouc Region and its role as the owner and administrator (investor) of the second- and third-class roads in its territory. The given evaluation or more precisely the analysis found out the relatively significant dependence of investments in the second- and third-class roads in the Olomouc Region of the given period on the EU subsidies, although the main financial source of investments is still the budget of the Olomouc Region. The amount of investments was also different in particular years during the given period where this fact was also affected to a large extent by the availability of the EU subsidies or other financial sources. One of the results of the analysis was also the identified lower rate of investments in one of the five districts of the Olomouc Region (Šumperk District).
