Antimonopolní politika České a Slovenské republiky

Abstract

The aim of the presented thesis is to evaluate the activities and policy of the Competition Authority and Anti-monopoly Authority. The first chapter (subsequent to introduction) contains the characteristics of antitrust policy, including characteristics of market structure and theoretical approaches to the protection of competition. The second chapter deals with antitrust policy in the Czech and Slovak Republic and comparison of both policies. The third chapter includes analysis of mergers, abuse of dominant position and prohibited agreements, but also assessment of appeals and organizational structures of both Authorities. Conclusion of the third chapter is devoted to the formulation of recommendations and proposal econometric model.
