Abstract

Submitted Bachelor's thesis shows way of mining in caving brown coal fields at quarry Jiří at Sokolovská uhelná p.n.a.s. Introduction describes geology of Sokolov brown coal field and brief history of deep mining. Next part contains way of mining technology at quarry Jiří, describtion of explorational probes, which protect from dropping of Giant Machine, after that staff's safety on areas affected by deep mining and implemented technical safety measures. The conclusion contains summary and recommendations.
