Analýza vlivu emigrace na ekonomiky zemí Visegrádské skupiny

Abstract

In the case of research in the section of migration issues in connection with economic aspects, immigration and its effects are more often examined. The reason for this may be better traceability of information, both qualitatively and quantitatively. It is easier to collect data on migrants coming to the country than for those leaving (registration of emigrants is much more problematic). Another reason may be the fact that there is more interest in research in this area on the part of target countries (most often more advanced economies). The identified gaps in the mentioned segment were the motivation for the analysis of the possible impact of emigration on the economies of the source countries. It should be noted that it is almost impossible to establish a general theoretical basis that would be valid for all countries. An important point is to be aware of the specific features of individual economies and their institutional environment, as different migration trends and, logically, other effects are recorded in different countries. For this reason, research is usually carried out at the level of specific countries. This diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of the impact of emigration on the economies of the source countries of the Visegrad Group. It summarizes the results for both the overall V4 and for each member country separately.
